Richard read Modern History and Politics at the University of Sheffield and graduated in 1992 with a 2:1. After a year in Commercial Agriculture he returned to Sheffield to complete a PGCE. He has taught history for over 20 years in both the State and Independent sectors. He is currently leading the Humanities Faculty at Nottingham Girls’ High School and is also a senior examiner for OCR.
