Mike Wells
M.A. Oxon
Lead examiner and author
Mike Wells is a well established author of History books for A Level students which draw on many years of teaching and examining. His lessons received many tributes over the years "I now really know what a Fascist state was like." "I would very much like to say how kind and understanding Mike was...." "terrifying" and so on. Many have unforgettable memories of school trips and now know what to do when abandoned on the Moscow metro and can empathise more fully with rain sodden troops in World War One trenches. Fondly remembered by colleagues as Count Buggeroffsky for his unfailing care of everyone in snowy St Petersburg, Mike is eager to help new generations of unsuspecting A level students. When not marking or lecturing, Mike enjoys acting in and directing plays and is very partial to long hours of Wagner operas, something that gives endless agony to his family and also makes him a social outcast, allowing him to devote time to audiopi scripts, prepared to the sound of screaming Warrior Maidens ( and some Wagner)
