Waqar is Head of Religious Education at one of the leading comprehensive schools in Birmingham, and a regular speaker at subject conferences. He has extensive examining experience for major awarding bodies. Waqar also writes regularly about faith and education, and has been advising schools on the teaching of Islam. He has written GCSE Religious Studies student textbooks and revision guides for the 2016 Edexcel specification.
