Professor Kevin Ruane
Professor of Modern History
Canterbury Christ Church University
I am Professor of Modern History at Canterbury Christ Church and a specialist in twentieth century international history, in particular Anglo-American relations, the Cold War (both in Europe and Asia), and the Vietnam war. I have published widely on all these areas, and currently contribute to undergraduate modules on 'The Cold War' and 'War and Revolution in Vietnam'. I am also developing a special study on 'The Bomb' which draws on the research for my latest book, Churchill and the Bomb in War and Cold War - a genuine example of research-informed teaching! At a wider administrative level, I am Director of Recruitment and Marketing for the School of Humanities.
