Crime and Deviance with Theory and Methods
What is crime and deviance?
In this section, we explore ideas of social order and social control through an examination of the distribution of crime and deviance by ethnicity, gender and social class. Examples will be drawn from sociological research as well as from recent patterns and trends in crime.
Crime will be examined in terms of globalisation, green and environmental crime, human rights and state crimes as well as how it is portrayed by the media.
Finally, the role of the criminal justice system will be considered in relation to crime control and prevention, surveillance, punishment and victims.

Schools and students are loving Audiopi
Audiopi has been very useful and I am singing your praises. Our students achieved 93% grades 4-9 at literature - and the podcasts really helped our pupils to go into the exams feeling confident about the texts. Also, the podcasts are very engaging and particularly useful for helping pupils who struggle with reading chunks of text, such as those with dyslexia
