Once again, the GCSE syllabus demands that we learn about Jewish attitudes to life after death, so it may be a surprise to hear how Maureen and Clive hardly seem to care about it. In this podcast, they outline some of the ideas that Jews have about the topic but stress that for most Jews all this is rather vague and nowhere near as important as deciding how to live and what to do. As for the Messiah as an idea, again, they tell us it’s obviously there in Jewish thought – after all, the whole idea comes from Judaism - but most Jews’ thoughts about the Messiah or the Messianic Age will be pretty general and rare.
