The Golden Years? 1924-9 - The economy
The first of two podcasts looking at the so called Golden Years. In this we consider the economy. How stable was Germany in this period? Was it a golden age? This podcast analyses and provides answers to the above questions, especially with regards to the role of Stresemann; the Dawes and Young Plans, economic recovery and foreign loans; political stability and improvements to living and working conditions. The key concept to consider during this period is relative stabilisation.Tutors:
