Did people benefit from Nazi rule? Unemployment may have gone down but were living standards going up? We look at the role of organisations such as the German Labour Front and the Voluntary Labour Service, and conscription. Did 'Strength through Joy' really deliver the community benefits it was apparently designed to do, or was it more propaganda than substance?
